This journal accommodates articles / scientific works which has not been published yet. Fields of journal cover aspects of:

- Animal Feed, production and molecular
- Animal reproduction and breeding
- Miscellaneous
- Livestock business
- Community development
- Animal products science and technology

Peer Review Process

The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) reviewers. Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Peternakan (Indonesian Journal of Animal Science) is applying the double blind peer-review process. The peer-review process will take 14 regular days. The accepted research articles will be available online following the journal peer-reviewing process. The journal is published in 3 times a year.

Peer reviewers are external experts chosen by editors to provide written opinions, with the aim of improving the study. The action of peer review following terms:

  1. Suggestion from authors as to who might act as reviewers are often useful, but there should be no obligation on editors to use those suggested.
  2. The duty of confidentiality in the assessment of a manuscript must be maintained by expert reviewers and this extends to reviewers colleagues who may be asked (with the editors permission) to give opinions on specific sections.
  3. Reviewers and editors should not make any use of the data, arguments, or interpretations unless they have the authors permission.
  4. Reviewers should provide speedy, accurate, courteous, unbiased and justifiable reports.
  5. If reviewers suspect misconduct, they should write in confidence to the editor.
  6. Journals should publish accurate descriptions of their peer review, selection, and appeals processes.
  7. Journals should also provide regular audits of their acceptance rates and publication times.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Peternakan (Indonesian Journal of Animal Science) published in a single volume every year. Each volume consists of three issues, normally published in April, August, and December. In addition, special issues consisting of a collection of papers dealing with a specific theme (e.g. proceeding of scientific conferences) may also be published. Journal History

Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Peternakan (Indonesian Journal of Animal Science) is a journal published and managed by the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya. The first publication was in 1990 and has been published online since 2009. JIIP is a peer-reviewed journal published three times a year and now actively using Open Journal System (OJS). JIIP mediates the dissemination of researchers various disciplines in animal science, such as animal feed and nutrition; animal reproduction, genetics, and production; social and economic; and animal products science and technology. The access to entire articles in JIIP is free. The editorial goal is to provide a forum exchange and an interface between academia, industry, government and society in the field of animal science and technology.

JIIP have been having new layout style since the beginning of 2017, and at December 2017 edition to match the international index requirement JIIP add two type of abstract, that was in Indonesian Language and English. JIIP since 22 March 2018 has indexed in DOAJ.
